Give specific examples. Watch the following examples and then write and practice your own answer. How well do you work under pressure? I work very well under pressure. Our boss trained us to do a variety of jobs and not just the one job. For that reason, when things got hectic at the store, we were able to be flexible and to help out in other parts of the store where things were busier. I’ve found that if employees are well trained, they will not panic under pressure and they’ll be able to help the customer in a timely manner. I work well under pressure. But I’ve found that we can prepare ahead of time ...

This is a great question and is sure to come up during your interview and probably when you least expect it. Lack of preparation for this question could very well cost you the job. One of the most important things is to be honest, otherwise it will show. Ask yourself the question first, why do you want to work there? If your answer is that you just need a job and paycheck, then dig a little deeper. If you still can't come up with an honest answer, then read on and hopefully I'll help you think of something. Make sure you have a clear understanding of why you want to work for them and that it's more than "just a job" to you. Do you admire this company? Do you like their products? Do they have a great success story? The key here is what is important to you about this company. The best way to prepare for this question is to research the company before you attend the interview and learn everything you can, past, present and future. Remember, the idea behind the interview is to find the best and most qualified candidate for the job and one that will best fit in with its culture. At this point, you should describe how your past experience has prepared you for this company. Your answer should demonstrate your familiarity with the company and its products and by doing this the interviewer will recognize you as a serious candidate. Interviewers like to hear praise about their company because it further solidifies the company's reputation in their own mind, but don't overdo it because it will come out sounding fake and cheap. 08 common Interview question and answers - Job Interview Skills 1. "Tell me a little about yourself." You should take this opportunity to show your communication skills by speaking clearly and concisely in an organized manner. Because there is no right or wrong answer for this question, it is important to appear friendly. 2. "What are your strengths?" This is a popular interview question. They want to know what you think of yourself. Although this is a general question, there is a wrong and right answer. The wrong answer is a generic answer saying you are organized and friendly. Although it will not hurt you during the interview, it will certainly not help you either. Answer this question based on the type of job you are applying for. 3. "What are your weaknesses?" For this answer, you should display a weakness that can be seen as a strength. There are many types of answers that will work. Some answers will be good answers for certain jobs, while the same answer will be a bad answer for a different job. Select an answer that will work for the position you are applying for. 4. "Where do you see yourself in five years?" This question primarily depends on where you are in your career. A person with 5 years of experience will have different goals than a person with no work experience. This question is asked to see how serious a candidate is about his or her career. Some people might not know their goals, and some people might have goals of becoming rich and retiring early. Those are incorrect answers for this question. The type of answer you want to give is an ambitious answer that shows you really love your career. A good interviewer will read between the lines and find out if a person is going to be a hard worker or just a mediocre one. Being descriptive and shooting for a big goal is something interviewers want to hear. 5. "What do you know about our company?" A typical job interview question, asked to find out how much company research you have conducted, is "What do you know about this company?" Prepare in advance, and in a word, research, so you can provide relevant and current information about your prospective employer to the interviewer. 6. "Are you good at dealing with change?" Dealing with change is common in the work place. A simple yes will not be sufficient to impress the interviewer. This is another type of question where everyone will have similar answers. Of course everyone is going to claim being excellent dealing with change. You got to communicate that you are really good at dealing with change. 7. "Do you work well under pressure?" In most cases, the best answer to this question is answering yes. Working well under pressure is a good trait to have. However, I think if you answer that you work the same with pressure and without pressure, the interviewer will be more impressed. However, you will need to explain in words why this is better. 8. "How do you make important decisions?" There are many ways to answer this question, and if you have a reasonable method of making decisions, it will probably be sufficient. One answer I thought of included not being afraid of asking your manager. You can follow up by saying even the best needs mentoring, and you always want to improve. So basically, this could work as an answer, but depending on the job, you might have a better shot with an answer like my example.

Why do you want to work here interview question - In this job interview questions and answers series Suman Bhattacharjee will explain what answer to say when you are asked the question Why do you want to work here interview question. Here he also provides you a sample answer at the end that you can follow to answer the question " Why do you want to work here interview question" or "Why do you want to work here" or "Why do you want to join our company" Answer This Job Interview Question: Why Do You Want to Work Here? The question of, "Why do you want to work here?" is not limited to job interviews. You’ll find it knocking on your door in networking, informational interviewing, and even at job fairs. When you are asked this innocent-sounding question, you need to have a strong answer. Your answer should demonstrate your knowledge of the company and the skills, talents, experience, and strengths you have that are a match for their culture and the targeted position/department. It's Not About You Until you get to the point of receiving an offer, employers are just looking for reasons to eliminate you. Here are some answers you never want to find coming out of your mouth: "For the money." "It seems like a nice place to work." "My cousin Fred works for you, and he has great benefits." All three of these answers are similar, and may be absolutely true. However, they share the same problem – they are all about what you want. However, they do not make the employer interested in hiring you. Generic answers don't make you stand out either: "Because I know I can make a really good contribution." What's Wrong with These Answers? The answers above don't stand out to the employer because they aren't about the employer. They make one of two mistakes: 1. These answers, above, focus on the benefit to you of the job. While the employer probably wants you to be happy in the job, they don't care about the benefit to you at this point. They want to know the benefit to them if they hire you. 2. Those answers don't demonstrate an understanding of the employer's needs. The employer wants to know that you are really interested in this job, and a vague or self-focused answer doesn't show that interest. With these answers, you fade into the woodwork and get lost among the other job seekers who have not done their homework either. These answers will never get you far with an employer. Do Your Homework When I say, "homework" I am referring to research and preparation in three key areas: 1. Know yourself 2. Know the company 3. Know the position and the department (if possible). Let me walk you through these: 1. Know Yourself Before you talk to employers, or even network for positions, you need to have a strong grasp of what you can offer them. (What’s the return on investment you provide to the employer?) You should be able to talk about your strengths and your accomplishments, and to readily give concrete answers to questions such as "What are your greatest strengths?" "Why should we hire you?" and "Tell me about yourself." as well as "What do you know about us?" and "Why do you want to work here?" 2. Know the Company Get to know the companies you will be talking to (or talking about, if networking). When you know details about them, their culture, their goals, their products, and their challenges, you are then able to talk about yourself and your fit into the company. Visit LinkedIn, and read the company profile information. Search for current/past employee profiles. Ting Zhao from Georgia asks, “Do you suggest that we do The Work the moment we're upset about something or someone?" "If you are able to, yes," Katie says, "and if not, just do The Work on that moment when you can, and be as kind as you can in the situation." I'm currently in the 3rd year of a 4 year computer science degree. After Christmas, I need to start making some money by working part-time while I'm studying. I'm either going to get a job with a software development company, or do freelance web development. My technical skills are already good enough, but I've never had to deal with clients or worked in a professional environment. Do you think it would be better to increase my business skills by working freelance, or gain more experience of real-world programming by getting a job? -Eric C. ********** Schedule a Skype Meeting with Eli: https://silicondiscourse.com To Ask Questions Email: Question@EliTheComputerGuy.com Signup for our email list at: http://www.elithecomputerguy.com/email-signup/ (#Microstopped... Some job interviewers might ask you this question: How well do you work under pressure? To answer this question, talk about strategies you have used in pressure situations at work. But I’ve found that we can prepare ahead of time to largely avoid pressure situations. For instance, when I worked at the pizza restaurant, we prepared the dough ahead of time, so that we could prepare the pizzas a lot faster. Even when things got busy, it wasn’t that hard to catch up because of all the preparation we already had done. I work well under pressure. It’s important to remain calm and cheerful when there is a line of customers at the bank. I can only help one customer at a time as a teller. I help each one to the best of my ability. As long as I do my best to help the customers, they are usually happy, despite the long wait. When things got hectic in the field, I learned how to pick up the pace with my coworkers. The lady that I usually worked with also believed the same thing. We learned to work quickly and efficiently until the job was done.

http://www.prepareforyourinterview.com. The Job Interview - How To Answer Job Interview Question Describe Your Work Experience http://youtu.be/ox-T6YNUuu4 Questions for job interviews are not complicated to prepare for, if you have a strategy that works to develop answers that motivate the Hiring Managers to hire you. For common questions like "describe your work experience', most job seekers simply answer the question without giving thought to how they can position themselves as the best person over the competition. All job interview questions have a distinct purpose in the interview to address all the concerns of the Hiring Manager. As the job applicant, you need to use a strategy to develop answers that show the interviewers why you and only you are the best person for the job. My 3ME formula teaches job seekers how to follow 3 simple rules of interviewing and provide answers to every job interview question so they stand out from their competition. Even for common questions like "describe your work experience". Here are a few tips that you can use to answer this question. First, you must organize your answer to this job interview question into 3 main points that the interviewer can follow along easily. You can provide a summary of your last 3 positions or your top 3 relevant skills for the job. You may also choose to describe your top 3 responsibilities at previous jobs. The 3-point strategy you use should be custom tailored to the position. Second, your answer must make sure you focus on the needs of the employer and address the key skills they need for the position. Naturally, you will have a lot to offer, but in your limited 60-minute job interview, you will not have a chance to describe ALL of your work experience, so you must be selective. The key is to focus on "them" and what they need. Third, provide real examples from your past work experience that are most relevant to the position and the employer. You do this to show them evidence of where you handled the same responsibilities and demonstrate why you are the best person for the job. The key here is to present yourself as the ideal candidate for the job. Hiring Managers are used to hearing the same tired, template, scripted, textbook answer so you must make an effort to stand out from everyone else. Questions at a job interview will be a walk in the park for you when you use a strategy that allows you to answer questions in an engaging and compelling way that sets you apart from the competition and leaves the Hiring Managers wanting more.
